Criminal Defense Victory

We believe that we are the best criminal defense attorneys in south eastern New Mexico.  While our past record of victories and excellent work for our clients speaks for itself, I wanted to share a recent victory with you.

Last week I went to trial for my client, who was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer.  The officer stated that Client started a fight with him, refused to cooperate when told he was arrested, and tried to stop the officer from arresting Client.  Ultimately, the altercation ended with Client being tased, taken to the ground, arrested, and charged with two crimes. 

I used the officer's own evidence against him.  His own recordings and testimony proved that he had lied to the jury and he arrested my client without cause.  The jury was only out for 20 minutes before coming back with a verdict of not guilty.

Every not guilty is a victory for my clients.  This one was extra special because Client had been so badly abused by the officer and had been so unjustly arrested and charged.

Dedication to the Community

We love Roswell and the people that live in it.  We want to do everything we can to make it a better place.  That's why we are very active in community service and contribute to many outstanding organizations that benefit our community.  Every year we support Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Chaves County CASA, Roswell Museum and Art Center, NMMI, and Roswell Community League.  Each one of these organizations shares our dedication to making Roswell a better place.  Luke also serves on the boards of the Roswell Museum and Art Center and the Roswell Country Club.  Doug has served as a Big in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program.
